Please read carefully below the guidelines for registration this season. They are important, errors in registration could lead to you not playing this year. Player Registration
You have two registration / payment options. You can enter your details online and pay by bank transfer OR you can pay by cheque and post us your entry form. We would prefer entries and payment to be made online.
| OPTION 1: On-line application with bank transfer |

We insist that each player take the time and small effort to fill out the forms with basic details. If this information is not provided then you will not be registered to play within the league. The information gained shall be used for Touch communication from ourselves and official partners/sponsors. Due to the popularity of the mixed league on Wednesday nights, the Brewin Dolphin Barbarians League will be played on a Thursday only. If for some reason you are unable to play at specific times between 18.30 and 20.30 on a Thursday (due to work commitments or team league clashes), please put a note at the bottom of your entry form and we will do our best to accommodate you. In the event that your individual game clashes with another commitment we will attempt to move you to another team or have you money refunded to you. League Standards We wish to create a meaningful competition where every player can enjoy the Touch experience. Players will be assigned a team at random but we will aim to pick teams of mixed skill level. As organiser’s we maintain the right to move players between teams should we deem it necessary and within the spirit of the league. If you are unsure about which level you play at – call us to discuss your entry before submitting your application. Refereeing We are constantly recruiting referees! We would welcome anyone who wishes to become a referee. Although it might seem daunting at first, refereeing is actually very enjoyable. It’s a great way to learn more about the game – rules and game tips you can pass on to your team-mates, see and meet players at different levels and across different divisions. Many players use it as a way of giving something back to the game. After all one of the jobs of a referee is to help new players learn and enjoy the game. As always, we are looking for players to help out with refereeing this year. The Scottish Touch Association runs basic entry level courses for referees and supports new officials by having them paired up with an experienced referee until they find their feet. You can find details of courses at http://www.scottishtouch.org.uk in the Events section. Subject to the number of referees available, games will be officiated by teams of 2, or ideally, 3 referees. The more referees there are for each game, the better it is for both players and officials. As such, we need new people who are willing to give refereeing a go! If in the unfortunate situation of not having any referees available, then we would ask teams to each “officiate” a half each. While this is unlikely – it can happen so please note the above and try to help us – help you! If you would like to volunteer or just find out more, email

Weather In the event of postponed weeks due to the weather, as long as the ground is available we shall always endeavour to fulfil all fixtures. There will be no refund on weeks missed. Team Wear
Bibs will be provided so we can distinguish who plays for what team.
Unlike registering a team you will only be registering as a player so there is no need to purchase a uniform. However, should you and your new team mates decide you wish to purchase a uniform, we will be forwarding a PDF file for a supplier who is offering a good rate for team T-shirts. Please do not choose yellow or gold as your team colours as this clashes with the referees shirts! We would also advise that players wear moulded sole boots and NOT trainers as at times the surfaces can be slippery if it has been raining. Insurance It is up to the individual to acquire personal accident insurance and is at the discretion of the player to complete in the event. The organiser is in no way liable for any injury whilst playing Touch. Deadline for Entry is 8th March 2010
Unlike the ‘team registration’ process, this is an individual registration which allows you to be entered into a randomly assigned team which plays on a Thursday evening in the Brewin Dolphin Barbarians League NOT on a Wednesday evening. Once we have received your payment and registered your entry you will receive further detailed information. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to get in touch!
